Assistive Technology (South Dakota)

DakotaLink provides products and services for assistive technology needs of people with disabilities. Some of the products provided are computer adaptations, equipment modifications, seating and positioning items, aids for daily living, mobility items, sensory aids, and durable medical equipment. 1-800-645-0673 http://www.dakotalink.net/

The Telecommunications Adaptive Devices Program provides telecommunication devices such as fully voice activated phones, main street emergency messenger telephones, picture dialing phones, large button phones and other equipment which may be need to communication through the phone lines. http://dhs.sd.gov/drs/deafserv/TAD_drs.aspx

The Telecommunication Equipment Distribution Program provides accessible telephone services for individuals who are deaf, deaf-blind, severe hearing loss, or speech-impaired. This is accomplished through a combination of both the Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) and the Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (TEDP). Special equipment is available – at no cost—to enhance telephone communication.
